Wilton Manors police launches new program to help victims of hate, bias or harassment crimes


WILTON MANORS, Fla. – The Wilton Manors Police Department is enforcing a new program in partnership with native companies.

It’s referred to as the Safe Place program, to battle a stigma of discomfort for individuals who had been victims hate, bias or harassment crimes.

Dozens of companies have volunteered and educated personnel on how to take care of the delicate problems.

Commissioner Chris Caputo stated the citywide program has been within the works for months.
