AUSTIN – The University of Texas at Austin Longhorn band paid tribute to the queen of Tejano song, Selena Quintanilla, right through their halftime performance Saturday afternoon.
The band carried out right through the college’s house recreation towards the Kansas Jayhawks, the place they gained 40 to 14.
Many attendees in the stadium captured the instant the musicians aligned at the box to spell Selena’s identify as they carried out her song.
In the stands was once Quintanilla’s sister Suzette, who posted a video of the performance on her Instagram tale.
In the post, Suzette tagged the college and used the center emoji in Selena’s signature crimson color.
The Longhorn Band had prior to now paid homage to Selena with a performance of “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” and “Como La Flor” on the 2019 Sugar Bowl.
One factor is certain — the Texas Longhorn Band would do “anything for Selena’s” and Texas cherished it!
