Tim Wakefield dies at 57: Red Sox mourn loss of former pitcher who ’embodied true goodness’

The Boston Red Sox introduced the dying of longtime right-handed pitcher Tim Wakefield on Sunday. He used to be 57 years outdated.

The group’s tweet learn the next:

Wake embodied true goodness; a faithful husband, father, and teammate, loved broadcaster, and without equal group chief. He gave such a lot to the sport and all of Red Sox Nation.

Wakefield, a knuckleballer, pitched in portions of 19 big-league seasons, 17 of which used to be spent with the Red Sox group. He made one All-Star Game and gained two World Series titles with the Red Sox.

Wakefield was known to be dealing with health issues that became public information without the family’s permission earlier this week.
