Texas artist finishes 4th in NBC’s American Song Contest


AUSTIN (KXAN) — A champion was topped in America’s new singing competitors on KXAN.

American Song Contest, a Eurovision-inspired present introduced artists from all 50 states, 5 main U.S. territories and Washington D.C. Hosts Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg helped artists navigate via qualifying and semifinals earlier than arriving on the grand finale.

After eight weeks of competitors, Oklahoma’s AleXa got here out on prime, changing into the primary ASC winner and topped “Best Original Song” in the nation. The winner will get to look on the Billboard Music Awards, plus have their music performed on iHeartRadio stations throughout the nation.

AleXa earned extra votes beating out different finalists together with: Tenelle from American Samoa, Ni/Co from Alabama, Michael Bolton from Connecticut, Chloe Fredericks from North Dakota, Jordan Smith from Kentucky, Riker Lynch from Colorado, Tyler Braden from Tennessee, Grant Knoche from Texas and Allen Stone from Washington.

Texas’ 19-year-old Grant Knoche positioned fourth in the competitors, receiving excessive scores from followers.

America’s votes and the present’s jury decided the winner. The jury was made up of 56 music consultants from every state and territory.
