Shooting at South Carolina club leaves 9 injured, authorities said


HAMPTON, S.C. — Authorities in South Carolina say they’re investigating capturing at a club in Hampton County early Sunday that left at least 9 folks injured. It was the second mass capturing within the state in as many days.

The State Law Enforcement Division said in an e-mail there have been no reported fatalities within the Easter morning capturing at the club in Hampton County. No information was instantly obtainable on the severity of the accidents.

The SLED says it was requested to research by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office. Hampton County is roughly 80 miles (about 129 kilometers) west of Charleston.

The capturing comes a day after gunfire erupted at a busy mall within the state capital of Columbia. Nine folks have been shot and 5 folks have been injured whereas attempting to flee the scene at Columbiana Centre, Columbia Police Chief W.H. (*9*) Holbrook said in a news launch Saturday. The victims ranged in age from 15 to 73.
