Serial traffic offender cuffed in hit-and-run that hurt girl, 8, in Hallandale Beach, cops say


HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Hallandale Beach police arrested a 37-year-old guy they described as a “habitual traffic offender” once they stated he despatched a tender woman flying after he hit her Monday morning, then left the injured woman on the scene.

Berdry Lubin is going through a fee of leaving the scene of an coincidence with accidents following the 7:30 a.m. crash alongside Southwest Third Street.

A neighbor’s safety digicam captured the crash.

The 8-year-old woman was once status at the facet of the road whilst a truck pulls into view and prevents for traffic forward.

She darted out from in the back of the truck and into the road.

Police stated Lubin, riding a black Mercedes-Benz, speeds into view, headed from the wrong way and hits the little woman as she bumped into the road.

Lubin stopped and were given out; the video confirmed him wearing the injured kid at one level, police stated, but if different witnesses stopped to assist, Lubin is accused of leaving.

According to police, Lubin had no insurance coverage and his automobile wasn’t registered.

They used an outline of him and his automobile to trace him down and take him into custody.

In the intervening time, the lady was once taken to a space medical institution with severe accidents.

“She’s in good and stable condition,” Capt. Megan Jones, a Hallandale Beach police spokesperson, stated Monday. “She did suffer a broken arm and some abrasions, but is going to be OK.”

Lubin was once being held in the Broward Main Jail as of Monday afternoon.
