San Antonio man sentenced to 60 years for fatally stabbing mother, sister



SAN ANTONIO – A 23-year-old San Antonio man was once sentenced to 60 years in jail on Friday in reference to the deadly stabbings of his mom and sister and the harm of any other circle of relatives member in 2020.

Jose Heriberto Hernández, Jr. pleaded to blame to two fees of homicide and one fee of irritated attack with a perilous weapon, in accordance to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.

Hernandez was once charged with capital homicide within the deaths of Raquel Hernandez-Mojica, 41, and Andrea Hernandez, 22 — his mom and sister — and likewise charged with irritated attack with a perilous weapon for attacking a circle of relatives member on March 12, 2020.

The DA’s place of business stated Hernandez admitted duty for each murders and the attack of the circle of relatives member who survived.

“The District Attorney’s Office is committed to ending family violence and upholding justice for all victims. This case is a tragic reminder of the importance of our mission,” stated Bexar County Criminal District Attorney Joe Gonzales. “A home should always be a safe place for those who live there.”
