Former Oklahoma linebacker David Ugwoegbu has discovered a brand new dwelling.
Mark Berman, the sports activities director at Fox 26 in Houston, reported that Ugwoegbu will switch to play defensive finish for the Houston Cougars.
Ugwoegbu performed loads of soccer in Norman, tallying 36 complete video games beneath his belt. He totaled 208 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. The 6-foot-4 linebacker graduated in December and could have an opportunity to play instantly for the Cougars.
“I decided to play ball at the University of Houston for my last year,” Ugwoegbu informed Fox 26 Sports. “I’m gonna be making a position change to defensive end. I feel like this is the best opportunity for me to prove myself and show what I can really do.”
The transfer to Houston is well timed for Ugwoegbu, as he’ll keep in-conference and on the nationwide stage. The Cougars are set to hitch the Big 12 subsequent fall, leaving the door open for Ugwoegbu to face his former group.

He began each recreation at linebacker for the Sooners in 2022, recording 109 tackles and seven.5 tackles for loss. Oklahoma’s protection struggled mightily over the course of the season, however Ugwoegbu was a veteran presence on the sphere.
