Police say multiple people are being held hostage in a Dutch town. They have evacuated nearby homes



EDE – Heavily armed police cordoned off a part of a Dutch the city on Saturday, pronouncing that multiple people had been being held hostage in a development there.

Police spokesman Simen Klok informed The Associated Press people had been being held hostage in the city of Ede however he declined to present extra main points of the incident or say what number of people had been concerned.

Police mentioned in a message on X, previously Twitter, that “at the moment there is no indication of a terrorist motive.”

The hostages had been being held in Cafe Petticoat, a in style bar and nightclub in Ede, in keeping with an AP videographer on the scene.

Earlier, officials evacuated 150 homes close to a central sq., pronouncing that there was once a individual in the realm “who could be a danger to themself or others.”
