Oklahoma investigators say Spiro officer shot, killed man | Oklahoma News

SPIRO, Okla. (AP) — A police officer in japanese Oklahoma shot and killed a 20-year-old man who brandished a weapon and fired on the officer, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation stated Friday.

Damon Dante Henderson was shot and killed Thursday within the city of Spiro, about 17 miles (27 kilometers) southwest of Fort Smith, Arkansas, the OSBI stated in a press release.

Police advised investigators they started looking for Henderson on Wednesday night time after receiving a report of a man brandishing a handgun. He was noticed Thursday afternoon and fled on foot.
