CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Police arrested a Coconut Creek guy Saturday when they mentioned he touched the genitals of a 16-year-old boy who used to be strolling in a Coral Springs park this July, in an obvious effort to solicit intercourse from him.
According to an arrest document, the incident came about July 14 at Tall Cypress Natural Area, situated at 3700 Turtle Run Blvd., simply off Sample Road.
Coral Springs police mentioned the boy were given out of his car and spotted a person, later known as Robert Charles Russell, 66, smiling at him in his automotive with the home windows down.
While the teen walked in the park and used his telephone, police mentioned Russell approached him once more, smiling.
The boy instructed police that Russell then “touched his testicles in (a) swiping motion over his clothing while making a grunting sound,” inflicting the teen to push Russell away, an arrest document states.
The document states the teen were given again into his automotive, left and reported the incident to his father and police.
Police mentioned the teen later known Russell from a photograph lineup.
The arrest document states that after police interviewed Russell, he instructed them he have been in the park to fulfill males for intercourse, “which is what the park is known for.”
Russell mentioned he idea the teen used to be in his early 20′s when he approached him, police mentioned.
“Russell stated that he attempted to flirt with the male by saying hello and grabbing his (own) penis, but the male declined his advancement by pushing his hands away,” an investigator wrote.
Police mentioned Russell denied touching the boy’s genitals and mentioned he believed the “eye contact” he made with the teen used to be an “invitation.”
Russell used to be taken into custody Saturday on a rate of lewd and lascivious touching of sure minors, in line with court docket information.
