Little Critters pet store Burkburnett, Texas: 400 animals seized


BURKBURNETT, Texas — More than 400 animals have been seized from a Texas pet store after allegations of “unsanitary and inhumane conditions,” officers mentioned.

The North Texas-based Animal Investigation & Response group introduced the seizure, which occurred on the Little Critters pet store in Burkburnett, north of Wichita Falls.

Police and the Humane Society of Wichita County have been additionally concerned within the seizure.

Police investigated the case and located the animals, which included birds, snakes, rabbits, guinea pigs and kittens, residing in “deplorable, crowded, unsanitary and inhumane conditions” on the store, in line with Animal Investigation & Response.

Police obtained a warrant to take the animals into custody.

Animal Investigation & Response and the Humane Society helped take away the animals from the store on Tuesday. Many animals have been in “poor condition,” although they’re anticipated to recuperate at a short lived shelter on the Humane Society, in line with Animal Investigation & Response.
