Jason Garrett replacing Drew Brees on NBC’s ‘Football Night in America’


Already a member of the NBC broadcast group for USFL protection, former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has discovered one other gig.

New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reported Thursday that Garrett will substitute Drew Brees on NBC’s prime time Sunday studio present, “Football Night in America.” According to the report, Garrett remains to be in the combo to additionally substitute Brees as NBC’s Notre Dame recreation analyst, however a remaining choice is but to be made.

Garrett, who was fired because the New York Giants’ offensive coordinator in November, amassed an 85-67 file over 10 seasons because the Cowboys’ head coach, together with three NFC East division titles and three journeys to the playoffs.

“[The USFL] just sounded like it was something that was going to be interesting and fun to do. So, I’m diving in right now, but all doors are open in the future. I love football. I love coaching. Garrett joined Troy Aikman as a former Cowboys quarterback to discover a new TV gig this offseason. Aikman, together with longtime broadcast companion Joe Buck, moved from Fox Sports to ESPN.
