SAN ANTONIO – Dozens amassed on the Barshop Jewish Community Center on Thursday to commemorate a historic second from 85 years in the past referred to as the Night of Broken Glass.
The Night of Broken Glass on Nov. 9, 1938, is when the Nazi regime coordinated a wave of anti-Semitic violence towards the Jewish group in Germany.
Nehemia “Nammie” Ichilov, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, stated it’s a educating second for more youthful generations to be told historical past and replicate on what we’re all doing now to forestall hate.
