SANFORD, Fla. – At least four people were reported dead in Central Florida on Thursday in separate incidents across multiple counties. A victim in one of the crimes was a 4-year-old girl, according to investigators.
In Seminole County, one person was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting at a home in Sanford, police said.
According to the Sanford Police Department, responding officers located 39-year-old Cliff Perard in the backyard of a residence on Anderson Circle, dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Another gunshot victim, located in the yard of a home across the street, was taken to an area hospital.
Sanford Police said this appears to be an isolated incident. Based on a preliminary investigation, detectives believe Perard was attempting to evict the suspect, 51-year-old Andre Crist. “An argument began in the backyard of the residence when Crist shot Perard and the second victim. Crist then fled the area on foot,” a spokesperson with the Sanford Police Department tells FOX 35 News.
A warrant has been issued for Crist’s arrest for a charge of first-degree homicide and attempted homicide. Crist is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information pertaining to this crime or Crist’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crimeline at 800 423-TIPS (8477).
Police are investigating in a Sanford neighborhood following a deadly shooting.
In Davenport, a man was found dead in the area of Westside Boulevard and Ronald Reagan Parkway Boulevard, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call OCSO at (407) 348-2222.
In Orange County, deputies said a man in his 40s died following an incident at a Bravo Supermarket plaza on North Hiawassee Road. Details about how he was injured have not been released, and there is no suspect information at this time.
