The fire broke out in a while earlier than 4 a.m. at the first ground of a two-story multi-family house.

Firefighters might be heard breaking via home windows to find the supply of the flames, because the odor of burning rubber and picket crammed the air.

“We just heard the sirens — a ridiculous level of sirens, even for New York City. And I just feel so bad for the families, it’s heartbreaking at this time of night and this time of year,” one witness instructed Westbrook.
