Workers at a New York state Amazon warehouse seek to unionize

NEW YORK, Aug 16 (Reuters) – Workers at an Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) warehouse close to Albany, New York, are searching for to unionize, the National Labor Relations Board stated in a assertion on Tuesday.

The Amazon Labor Union – the identical impartial group that organized a historic union win at one other warehouse on New York’s Staten Island in April – petitioned the federal labor board to maintain an election at the warehouse close to Albany and symbolize about 400 staff.

Employees at dozens of Amazon warehouses throughout the United States are contemplating becoming a member of unions as the net retailer faces claims that it prioritizes revenue over employee security and has unlawfully discouraged union organizing.
