Woman killed in Texas Township crash


TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Schoolcraft girl was killed Saturday when her automobile hit a tree in Texas Township.

Around 6:50 a.m., deputies with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office have been despatched to South eighth Street close to S Avenue West for a crash.

Responding deputies realized {that a} southbound automobile, pushed by a 56-year-old Schoolcraft girl, had left the highway for an unknown motive and hit a tree.

The girl died on the scene, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.

No one else was in the automobile.

It’s unknown if alcohol or velocity have been components in the crash, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.
