West Miami beef thief suspect busted


MIAMI – West Miami police mentioned a brazen beef bandit was arrested Tuesday after he returned to the identical retailer that he had robbed twice in the course of the day over a latest four-day interval.

Surveillance video from the Tropical Supermarket, at SW eighth Street at 62nd Avenue, reveals the person taking $800 {dollars} value of meat proper in entrance of shoppers and strolling out of the shop.

Detectives recognized the person as 32-year-old Lazaro Cabrera-Calero.

They mentioned he appeared unconcerned when taking the meat and stuffing it in a backpack.

“He’s pretty confident, like he is shopping and not in any rush and was not concerned about cameras seeing his face or anything like that,” mentioned Detective Richard Menor.

Menor added that the shop’s supervisor received a tip saying that the meat was being offered regionally.
