MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — It was closing time at a Dollar Genera in Florida final Tuesday when staff seen a reasonably uncommon buyer roaming across the retailer. The shopper wasn’t making an attempt to steal objects or trigger any commotion. It didn’t even stand on two legs.

“So, he just walked in?” a Bradenton Police Officer requested one of many retailer’s staff, referencing a virtually 140-pound canine that was roaming the shop after-hours.

“Yeah, like, ‘Hey I’m here to go grab something,’ and then he really just walked the whole store,” the worker might be heard telling police in body-cam video.

Deputies stated the 135-pound canine, named Bentley, broke by a gate and walked a number of blocks to the shop, the place it spent a number of hours looking.

Bentley’s proprietor realized he was lacking and was grateful the shop and officers sorted him.

“Fortunately, Bentley does have a microchip — or maybe a megachip,” the police division jokingly added.
