Watauga nursing home fire: No life-threatening injuries



WATAUGA, Texas — Crews responded to a two-alarm hearth Friday morning at a North Texas nursing home, in accordance with native authorities. 

A North Richland Hills official stated Friday that the fireplace – which occurred at North Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation – began simply after 6 a.m. and escalated to a two-alarm hearth. The hearth began outdoors and made its method into the constructing, in accordance with the spokesperson. Victims had been pulled out of the constructing instantly and the fireplace had been extinguished Friday morning.

Both employees and first responders helped evacuate sufferers from the constructing. 

Officials stated there have been no life-threatening injuries. Three folks had been transported to the hospital for remedy, and three first responders had been being handled for smoke inhalation. 

The reason for the fireplace is unknown as of Friday morning, officers stated. Fifteen ambulances responded to the fireplace.

A spokesperson for the nursing home’s administration firm instructed WFAA the residents had been being taken again in because the hearth is extinguished.
