MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A bunch of volunteers donned snorkel gear to assist clear up our water off South Florida’s coast.
The journey was a part of the four-day Aspen Ideas Climate Conference on Miami Beach.

They had been in a position to choose up over 90 kilos of trash, starting from bottles and cell telephones to plastic particles.
Maddie Kaufman, who organized the journey, stated that she loves the passion of individuals wanting to present again to the environment. But, provides that trash shouldn’t be there within the first place.

“So, it’s definitely sad, but there’s also a massive community out there that goes out and helps clean up our oceans, clean up our beaches. Which, gives me hope,” she stated.
Dive teacher Hannah Moore stated she thinks extra individuals will be predisposed to handle the environment in the event that they really feel a connection to it.

“People come out who haven’t had these experiences before or maybe they have. It brings that emotional connection home so they are more driven to participate in conservation initiatives and things like that,” she stated.
