Virginia State University says a police officer has been seriously wounded in a shooting near the VSU campus

PETERSBURG, Va. — A Virginia State University police officer used to be seriously wounded early Sunday in a shooting that came about near the VSU campus, the college stated.

The officer used to be taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening accidents, in line with a news unlock.

The shooting came about at about 1:34 a.m. when an on-duty VSU police officer answered to a disturbance on the campus in Petersburg, Virginia, in line with Chesterfield County police.
