MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Surveillance video shows folks preventing off a 26-year-old man who attempted to kidnap their 4-year-old son from a shop on Thursday in Miami Beach, in accordance to police.
It was once about 11:55 a.m. A mom was once strolling out of the CVS Pharmacy at the nook of Collins Avenue and 74 Street in the town’s North Beach house.
Her son and her husband walked in the back of her.
The video shows a man who cops known as Nicolas Sternaman strolling into the shop, and briefly turning and bending down to snatch the boy via the neck.
Sternaman lifted the kid off the bottom and grew to become to face the shop’s door to go away when the father pounced on him and grabbed him till he let pass of the boy, in accordance to the arrest file.
The mom grew to become to hit the man. The boy fell on his again, however he wasn’t injured. His mom briefly picked him up and held him. Police officials reported he was once anxious.
Sternaman ran away leaving his jacket in the back of. A witness and the father have been following him southbound on Collins Avenue when he took off his sweater and threw it, in accordance to police.
Police officials joined the pursuit and arrested Sternaman alongside Harding Avenue close to 71st Street. He is a resident of a penthouse on the Mirador 1000, a apartment in South Beach, in accordance to the arrest file.
Sternaman was once going through legal fees of irritated kid abuse and battery.
Miami Beach cops had arrested Sternaman for petit robbery on Jan. 3 and he was once launched on a $150 bond, in accordance to Miami-Dade County courtroom data. His standing listening to was once at 8:30 a.m., on Thursday and his trial for the pending misdemeanor case was once April 1.
