Pete Arredondo, the regulation enforcement official state police stated was most liable for a flawed response to the Uvalde elementary faculty capturing in May, has resigned from the Uvalde City Council.
Arredondo, the chief of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District police division, had been elected to the council just a few weeks earlier than the May 24 capturing that killed 19 kids and two academics. He took the oath of workplace in secret and has not attended any of the council conferences since.
The Uvalde Leader-News reported Arredondo’s resignation, which The Texas Tribune was unable to instantly verify.
