SAN ANTONIO — Families of Uvalde victims are internet hosting the Remember Their Names Festival this weekend to raise money for scholarships in honor of those that survived and people who died on May 24.
The nonprofit Remember Their Names is made up of dad and mom who misplaced family members in the Robb Elementary capturing, in which 19 kids and two academics had been killed.
“It’s like my brother Brett said: ‘We’re a part of a club that no one wants to be a part of.’ But with the people that we have around us, it’s just beautiful,” stated Steve Garcia, father of Eliahna “Ellie” Garcia, one of the kids who died in the capturing.
It’s been 5 months for the reason that tragedy, and Garcia is protecting sturdy as potential, cherishing the 9 years of recollections he skilled along with his daughter who cherished basketball and needed to change into a instructor.
