Update: Abducted girl found safe in Oklahoma, suspect in custody | KSNF/KODE

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Police Department (WPD) says the 6-year-old girl that was kidnapped Sunday evening has been found safe and that the suspect is in custody.

Wichita police say the Oklahoma Highway Patrol situated her earlier than 8:30 p.m. in the world of Tonkawah, Oklahoma.

According to the WPD, she can be reunited together with her household quickly. The suspect is in custody and can be transported again to Wichita.

The WPD is conducting an ongoing investigation.

According to the WPD, she was in a gold/tan Lexus Rx330 when it was stolen from the 2300 block of N. Amidon. Police say at this level they don’t consider the suspect knew the girl.
