Tyler Lacy to Skip Bowl Game, Declare for 2023 NFL Draft

Oklahoma State bought extra unhealthy news on Monday, though this one was a bit extra anticipated, as Tyler Lacy introduced he’s skipping the Guaranteed Rate Bowl to put together for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Lacy made the announcement on Twitter on Monday evening, saying partly, “The last few weeks have been tough as I’ve been recovering from an injury that an expert advised will keep me sidelined for a few more weeks. For that reason, I regrettably will not be able to take the field with my brothers for one last ride. Rather, I will focus my efforts on fully healing, and preparing myself to officially enter the 2023 NFL Draft.”

He appeared to presumably take a slight shot at teammates who bailed for the switch portal on Monday, ending his assertion by saying, “I remain Forever Loyal and True, and I will be cheering with Cowboy Nation as we finish off the season with a WIN!”

Lacy is a 6’4”, 285-pound defensive finish from Texas, who has 27 tackles and three sacks on the season. Last season, he completed with 34 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two compelled fumbles.

Lacy was an integral a part of the line of defense that was anticipated to be a power of this crew coming into the season. The 2023 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April twenty seventh, in Kansas City.
