TxDOT plans for full closures along Loop 1604 this weekend



Work at the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project will proceed over the weekend and it manner an entire closure along a stretch of the loop from Friday night time till Sunday night time.

According to TxDOT, there can be full closures along section 3 of the undertaking. The closures will start at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 and proceed till 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Drivers can be expecting to look closures within the following spaces:

  • Loop 1604 westbound major lanes between the NW Military Highway go out ramp to the Lockhill Selma Road front ramp

  • Loop 1604 eastbound major lanes between the Vance Jackson Road go out ramp to the Bitters Road front ramp.

  • I-10 westbound go out ramp to Loop 1604 eastbound

  • I-10 eastbound Cloverleaf go out (Southwest Cloverleaf) to Loop 1604 eastbound major lanes

TxDOT has introduced a full closure of portions of Loop 1604 from 9 p.m. Nov. 10 to five p.m. on Nov. 12. (TXDOT)

The paintings will start at 9 p.m. and is scheduled to wrap up at 5 p.m.

Segment 3 runs from I-10 to US-281, then again, paintings is deliberate for a complete of 5 segments.

Jennifer Serold, a public information officer with TxDOT, mentioned even though the closures have ended in transient delays, the advantages can be long-lasting.

“The growth in San Antonio has been exponential over the past several years, so our engineers have been looking at this area. We’re making these improvements to reduce commute times now and in the future,” she mentioned
