Twitter reactions: India annihilate Australia by an innings and 132 runs in the Nagpur Test

India made a dominant begin to the four-match Test collection towards Australia, registering a crushing victory in simply three days at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The win gave the hosts a 1-0 lead in the collection.

Indian bowlers have been the stars of the present, with Ravichandran Ashwin taking a five-wicket haul (5/37) and Ravindra Jadeja selecting up 2 wickets for 34 runs in Australia’s second innings. The duo have been unplayable for the Aussie batters, decreasing them to 67/7 in the twenty third over. Axar Patel and Mohammed Shami then took care of the remaining three wickets, securing an innings and 132-run win for India.

Ashwin’s five-wicket haul was his thirty first in Test cricket and helped India safe a large 223-run lead in the first innings. The bowlers ensured the lead was protected, dismissing Australia for a meagre 91 in the second innings.

Earlier, on the third day’s play, Axar shined with the bat as properly, scoring his career-best 84, whereas including 52 runs with Shami to push India’s first innings whole to 400.

The all-round efficiency by comeback-man Jadeja was spectacular, and he guided his group to a well-deserved win in the first Test of the collection.
