Tow truck driver fatally shoots car owner in Fort Lauderdale during repossession attempt, police say


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A tow truck driver shot and killed the owner of a car that was being repossessed Wednesday morning when the 2 fought during the tried car take again, Fort Lauderdale police mentioned.

Police obtained a number of calls shortly after 10 a.m. a couple of capturing in the 100 block of Carolina Avenue, investigators mentioned in a written assertion.

When officers arrived, they discovered the unidentified car owner useless on the scene, the police assertion mentioned..

Police detained the tow truck driver, who was not recognized, and the driver was mentioned to be cooperating with the investigation.  

It was not instantly clear if the 2 truck driver would face expenses in reference to the incident.

According to the police assertion, gunfire erupted on the scene when the car’s owner confronted the tow truck driver and an altercation ensued between the 2.

Fort Lauderdale police requested anybody who noticed the incident to contact them.
