Tornadoes, hail and damaging winds threaten the Plains as severe storms sweep the central U.S.


Strong storms rolling throughout the Plains on Tuesday are bringing heavy winds and threats of tornadoes and hail.

Millions of other people from Kansas to the northern Plains will see severe climate with a possible for flooding, top winds and tornadoes.

There is an enhanced possibility of thunderstorms with threats of hail and tornadoes over southern Iowa into northern Missouri and west-central Illinois, the National Weather Service stated in a post on X.

Central Nebraska noticed wind gusts over 70 mph and tornadoes have been reported close to Eureka and Richland, Kansas, according to The Weather Channel.

A tornado watch has been issued for portions of Kansas till 9 a.m.

Central and jap Iowa into northwest Illinois and northern Missouri may just see supercell thunderstorms that experience the attainable of bringing damaging winds, hail and tornadoes EF2 or more potent, the Weather Channel reported. The severe climate will stretch forward of a chilly entrance from the higher and mid-Mississippi River valleys to parts of the Ozarks area, in keeping with the channel.

On Wednesday, the storms will transfer eastward from southern Michigan into the Ohio Valley, forward of the chilly entrance. Tornadoes, sturdy winds and hail stay imaginable threats for the area.
