BEIJING — Two tornadoes inside of hours killed 10 people and severely injured 4 others in eastern China, state media stated Wednesday.
The first twister hit portions of Suqian town in Jiangsu province on Tuesday afternoon, state broadcaster CCTV stated. It destroyed 137 houses and broken crop land and pig farms. Five people died and 4 had been injured.
A 2d twister in the night killed 5 people in Yancheng town, which is in the similar province about 190 kilometers (120 miles) southeast of Suqian.
