WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court rejected an appeal Tuesday from former coal govt Don Blankenship, who argued that primary news shops defamed him via calling him a “felon.”
The justices left in position an appellate ruling towards Blankenship, the former CEO of Massey Energy. He served a 12 months in jail on a misdemeanor rate after he used to be discovered responsible of conspiring to violate protection requirements at a West Virginia mine sooner than an explosion in 2010 that killed 29 males.
