Texas wildfires: Parker County crews working on large blaze

PARKER COUNTY, Texas — Crews in Parker County are at present battling a large grass hearth between Weatherford and Springtown.

Sean Hughes, of the Parker County hearth marshals, says the fireplace is occurring close to FM 51 and Veal Station Road, about 30 miles northwest of Fort Worth.

According to Hughes, the fireplace has burned about 40 acres to this point. He says there have been some evacuations however did not specify the place.

Hughes says help from the Texas A&M Forest Service has been requested.
