Texas News: Stolen vehicle pursuit ends in crash


Following the collision, officials arrested the juvenile motive force.

KILLEEN, Texas — In the early hours of Oct. 12, at round 2:21 a.m., a pursuit involving a stolen Kia ended with a crash into an O’Reilly Auto Parts development.

The pursuit began when a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper tried to forestall the stolen Kia. The vehicle, used to be being pushed through a 15-year-old male motive force. He used to be touring northbound on Interstate 35, in the neighborhood of Riverside Drive, positioned in Austin.

According to the officials, as an alternative of complying with the Trooper’s try to prevent, the Kia sped up. The pursuit endured because the vehicle left Travis County, getting into Bell County.

The chase reached a prevent when the stolen Kia careened into the O’Reilly Auto Parts development at 111 W Veterans Memorial Blvd in Killeen.

Following the collision, officials arrested the juvenile motive force. He used to be taken to a clinical facility. After the evaluation, he used to be transported to the juvenile facility in Bell County.

During the  pursuit, 3 Texas DPS patrol automobiles had been struck through the stolen Kia vehicle. According to officials, no DPS body of workers sustained accidents all the way through the incident.
