Texas man arrested in Florida after DNA links him to cold case


SAN MARCOS, Texas — A San Marcos man used to be arrested previous this week in connection to a cold case from 2004.

Ricardo Cruz Rodriguez, 44, used to be arrested in Tampa, Florida after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman nearly 20 years ago.

According to officers, San Marcos police replied to a choice on Oct. 9, 2004, a couple of man breaking into a lady’s house and sexually assaulting her. The man took off prior to officials arrived and the lady advised police she did not see the man’s face because it used to be lined.
