Texas homeowner shoots, kills armed intruder: reports

A possible armed theft at a house in Canton, Texas final week was reduce brief after its proprietor shot and killed the intruder, in response to native reports.

Canton cops responded to reports of a capturing at a house simply after midnight on April 23, KLTV reported.

Responding officers discovered Erik J. Hicks, 51, with a number of gunshot wounds. Hick was transported to a neighborhood hospital, the place he died from his accidents.

An investigation between the Canton Police Department and the Texas Rangers decided that Hicks had allegedly pressured his manner into the residence whereas armed and confronted the proprietor. 

The homeowner went for his personal gun and fired at Hick a number of occasions, killing him, KLTV reported.

The homeowner, as of Sunday, is just not dealing with any costs. The case will probably be referred to a Van Zandt County grand jury for assessment on the conclusion of the investigation, The Morning Telegraph reported.

Canton is about 60 miles east of Dallas.
