ROUND ROCK, Texas — Texas DPS and the Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) are investigating a shooting that ended with a woman killed in Round Rock on Friday.
According to RRPD, they acquired a name round 11:50 a.m. concerning an incident involving a DPS trooper at the Cracker Barrell at 2350 N IH 35.
Police inform KVUE {that a} DPS trooper shot a woman as she tried to flee arrest.
DPS Trooper Deon Cockrell mentioned the incident began when a trooper noticed a gray Nissan that matched the outline of a car that had been reported stolen by RRPD. The trooper noticed the car by Westinghouse on I-35 and tried to conduct a cease.
