Texas authorities arrest man connected to October 2022 homicide in Indy


INDIANAPOLIS — On Thursday, a 28-year-old man was once extradited again to Indianapolis from Texas to face a rate of homicide, stemming from the October 2022 demise of a 30-year-old man.

In March, the Marion County Prosecutors Office issued a warrant for Mario Pena for homicide stemming from the October 2022 demise of Luis Hernandez.

Mario Pena was once lately arrested in Texas on an unrelated rate. Texas officers then extradited him again to Marion County for the homicide rate.

According to courtroom paperwork, at 3 a.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022, IMPD officials answered to the 6300 block of W. thirty fourth Street on a file of an individual shot.

There they discovered Hernandez with gunshot wounds. He was once transported to an area health center, the place he died.
