Tennis Takes on Big 12 Individual ChampionshipsCougars set for first Big 12 Competition in final fall tournament

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Tennis program returns to Waco, Texas, to compete in the Big 12 Individual Championships on the Hurd Tennis Center, starting Thursday.

This is Houston’s first motion in a Big 12 festival since becoming a member of the convention on July, 1.

The Cougars are led by way of sophomore Sonya Kovalenko’s six singles victories this fall. Nina Skoric and Sophie Schouten have each collected 5 singles wins of their very own, with 4 others having recorded 3 wins.
