Tejano Music Awards rescinds lifetime honor from convicted rapist



SAN ANTONIO – The Tejano Music Awards is rescinding a lifetime fulfillment award from the co-founder of the preferred band Grupo Mazz, Jose “Joe” Lopez, in line with the Texas Talent Musicians Association.

Frank Salazar, vp of the Texas Talent Musicians Association, mentioned the verdict was once made Wednesday morning as a result of public backlash.
