MARATHON, Fla. – A 16-year-old woman was once arrested Friday after deputies say she made a fake bomb and gun threat at a high school within the Florida Keys.
According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Adam Linhardt, Ava Carol Patterson is dealing with fees that come with making a false record relating to planting a bomb, an explosive, or a weapon of mass destruction and in regards to the use of firearms in a violent means.
MCSO deputies stated they won a tip from U.S. Homeland Security Investigations that two topics had been going to position a bomb inside of Coral Shores High School, positioned at 89901 Old Hwy, in Tavernier, and shoot a person with a gun.
Further investigation confirmed Patterson falsely made the threats and named the 2 topics following an unrelated dispute amongst them, in keeping with Linhardt.
No guns or suspicious pieces had been discovered within the school.
