Swimming & Diving Finishes Day One at Art Adamson Invitational


COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving staff had 3 student-athletes qualify for the highest finals pageant, with sophomore Liya Goupil setting up a top-10 time at the first day of the Art Adamson Invitational. 
 
With pageant in opposition to a ranked staff and more than one others receiving votes, Houston had a couple of swimmers advance to the A-Final and fifth-year diver Chase Farris earned a place within the 3-meter diving championship at the opening day in College Station.

Farris completed in 5th position with a 306.60 within the 3-meter ultimate after qualifying with a 300.00 for 6th within the preliminaries. 
 
The Cougars had six qualify for the overall heats within the 200-yard IM. Freshman Nora Hetyei completed with a 2:02.59 within the B-Final, incomes a 14th position end. Sophomore Alondra Ortiz and senior Sophie Anderson, who certified for the C-Final, took 19th and 24th with occasions of two:01.95 and a couple of:05.12, respectively. Houston continues pageant within the Art Adamson Invitational on Thursday. Swimming initial heats start at 9:30 a.m. and diving initial pageant starts at midday. Diving finals start at 4:15 p.m., adopted through swimming finals at 5:30 p.m.
