Status hearing held for Hialeah teen accused of killing mother

HIALEAH, Fla. – A standing hearing is being held Wednesday for Derek Rosa, 13, who’s accused of fatally stabbing his mother ultimate yr.

According to police, Rosa murdered his mother, Irina Garcia, 39, as she slept subsequent to his 14-day-old half-sister on Oct. 12 on the Amelia Oaks condominium advanced, positioned at 211 W. 79th Place in Hialeah.
