South Carolina officer killed while responding to domestic disturbance


CAYCE, S.C. — A police Ok-9 officer, volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician in central South Carolina was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance early Sunday, police mentioned.

Barr grew to become a police trainee in 2016 and a Ok-9 officer in October 2020, Cowan mentioned. He was paired with a black Labrador and posed together with her for his official division picture.

“He loved his dog, Molly, and he loved his job. He loved being a K-9 officer and he was good at it,” Cowan mentioned.
