NAPLES, Fla. – Sen. Rick Scott reported Thursday morning that criminals tried to “terrorize” his circle of relatives by means of creating a prank name to emergency products and services.
After the prank name, Scott reported dispatch then despatched armed cops to his space in Florida whilst he used to be out for dinner on Thursday night time with his spouse Ann Scott.
“Cowards ‘swatted; my home in Naples,” Scott wrote on social media. “These criminals wasted the time & resources of our law enforcement in a sick attempt to terrorize my family.”
Scott said he and his wife were grateful for the Naples police officers and the Collier County deputies who were working the case.
Swatting is a criminal harassment act. It’s unclear how the caller deceived the emergency carrier. Scott is campaigning for reelection.
Last night time, whilst at dinner with my spouse, cowards “swatted” my home in Naples. These criminals wasted the time & sources of our legislation enforcement in a ill try to terrorize my circle of relatives.
