SEGUIN, Texas – A Seguin police officer was once arrested Sunday on suspicion of using whilst intoxicated.
Jose Ricardo Zapata, 25, was once arrested at 11:43 p.m., in keeping with Seguin PD.
Jail data display he’s charged with an increased offense of using whilst intoxicated with a blood alcohol stage more than .15. The criminal alcohol prohibit is .08% BAC.
A spokesperson with Seguin PD stated Zapata was once positioned on administrative depart pending the result of an inside investigation.
“Law enforcement officers are held to a higher standard, and we take this matter seriously. We will cooperate fully with the New Braunfels Police Department investigation, and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken based on the findings,” stated Jason Brady, Chief of the Seguin Police Department.
