Seattle Sounders sign Jordan Morris, Cristian Roldan & Danny Leyva to new contracts


The Seattle Sounders have signed Jordan Morris, Cristian Roldan, and Danny Leyva to new long-term contracts.

Homegrown ahead Morris has signed a five-year deal via the 2027 MLS season alongside midfielder Roldan. Leyva, in the meantime, has signed a four-year deal via the 2026 marketing campaign with a membership choice for 2027.

The trio’s earlier offers had been all due to expire on the finish of the upcoming marketing campaign.

“It’s with great pleasure that we announce these well-earned contracts,” Sounders basic supervisor and chief soccer officer Craig Waibel mentioned in a membership press launch. “Jordan and Cristian have each been a massive part of this club’s success, while Danny has shown to be a very talented player with a bright future. We are pleased to secure their place with Sounders FC for years to come.”

Head coach Brian Schmetzer added: “Jordan and Cristian are exceptional players who have grown tremendously on and off the field since joining the club. Danny has become a good professional in his young career, and we are looking forward to his continued development. I’d like to congratulate all three players and am pleased about their continued time with the club.”

Leyva’s new deal is especially attention-grabbing with the younger midfielder presently attracting critical consideration from each Mexico and Europe, as revealed by 90min.

The Sounders have been in negotiations this winter with each Pumas and Puebla, and it is understood Leyva may nonetheless depart the membership on mortgage or for a payment within the not-too-distant future.
