Sandy Alcántara teams up with Santa Claus at Miami Marlins stadium in Little Havana


MIAMI – Sandy Alcántara, a Dominican skilled baseball pitcher, used to be serving to Santa Claus on Monday in Miami’s Little Havana community.

Alcántara used to be with Billy The Marlin and a workforce of elves at the LoanDepot Park, at 501 Marlins Way, for an early Christmas present supply for children.

“It’s a special moment for me and for them, you know what I mean? I’m happy to be here,” Alcántara stated.

Caroline O’Connor, the president of industrial operations for the Miami Marlins, stated the 3 dozen youngsters who celebrated with Alcántara have been neighbors.

“They just come from two blocks away,” O’Connor stated.

Juseff Pubchara, leader govt officer of the Accident Medical Group, a Doral-based corporate and event partner, stated he benefited from the generosity of vacation giveaways as a child.

“It always stuck with me even to this age, so I think that this is something that’s going to impact them not just today but in the future,” Pubchara stated.

On Friday, the tenth annual Big Bus Toy Express accumulated greater than 13,000 presents and over $33,000 in donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
